NASEF 2026 – 43rd National Solar Energy Forum/Conference

INTRODUCTION

The Solar Energy Society of Nigeria (SESN) was founded in 1980 to promote the widespread utilization of solar and other renewable energy technologies. The society organizes its National Solar Energy Forum/Conference (NASEF) annually. The forum is aimed at providing a platform for meeting and interaction between stakeholders in renewable energy research and development, business, and policymaking, and to access the level of penetrations of technology as well as ongoing development in renewable energy.

The 43^rd edition of the National Solar Energy Forum/Conference (NASEF 2026) would be holding at African University of Science and Technology, (AUST) Abuja and to be organize by Solar Energy Society of Nigeria (SESN) in collaboration with African University of Science and Technology, (AUST) Abuja and other relevant stakeholders.

Accordingly, it is with great pleasure that the Executive Committee of the Solar Energy Society of Nigeria (SESN) has considered and approved the hosting of 43^rd edition of National Solar Energy Forum/Conference (NASEF 2025) from 21^st – 23^rd October 2026 with theme "Bridging Nigeria's Energy Gap: Accelerating Solar Energy Adoption for Sustainable National Development".

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS / ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Interested individuals should submit a comprehensive abstract in line with the sub-themes of this forum. The abstract should consist of:

(a) a title of not more than 20 words in sentence case;
(b) a list of authors (Surname, Initials; Yusuf, A.B. and John, K.C.) and their respective affiliates indicated with superscripts. The phone number and email address of the corresponding author should be provided;
(c) a body of abstract which should consist of a brief introduction on the purpose/problem tackled by the study, key methods used in the investigation, a summary of results obtained and their implication, and final, a brief conclusion; and
(d) keywords of 3 to 5 words separated by commas.

The abstract should not exceed 300 words in sentence case, and should be typed on Times New Roman, double spaced with font size of 12 point. It should be submitted as a Microsoft Word file attachment to bnumar@yahoo.com and copy semiunlwal@qmail.com; semiulzama@yahoo.com; nikoto2003@qmail.com not later than 5^th October 2026.

Note after acknowledgment, reviewer's comment will be communicated to the authors. The authors should, thereafter, prepare Microsoft Power Point slides for oral presentation at the forum. Some of the presentations will be selected based on merit for possible publication in the Nigeria Journal of Solar Energy and award.
